Vela

VELA is a three-piece music ensemble consisting of Anthony Lyons (Composer/Laptopist/Rhodes Keyboardist), Emily Williams (Experimental /Improvisational Cellist) Simon Bailey (Atmospheric Guitarist).

With music ranging from works that have been described as both haunting and transcendent to lyrical and alternative VELA is as exciting visually as it is audio.

Sound~scapes and lush melodies from the effected Cello and intricate atmospheric sounds from analogue effected guitar combined with some of the most intoxicating Rhodes keyboards all tied into progressive beats and percussion through laptop and software VELA creates beautiful lyrical and memorable music.

The group features:  Composer/Laptopist Anthony Lyons, Guitarist Simon Bailey, and Cellist Emily Williams.
Vela will be launching their album in 2009
